The TOUAX Group was created in 1853. Initially it concentrated on river transport in France.
The Group has gradually diversified into operational leasing activities :

- River barge leasing and sales (Inland Waterway transport) in Europe, North and South America
- Shipping Container leasing and sales world wide (maritime transport)
- Modular Building leasing and sales in Europe and North America
- Freight railcars leasing and sales in Europe and North America
